Tobacco Free Indore

Objective of the event
The main objective of the event was to start a campaign for Tobacco Free Indore and to associate a celebrity with the event. It was decided to choose Mr Shatrughan Sinha as he has been Union Health Minister and Minister of Parliament , associating him with the activity will result into media attention about the cause. Also as VHAI has come out with a parliamentarian kit for Tobacco advocacy , it was a right occasion for the release of the Kit as Mr Shatrughan Sinha himself held Union Health Minister Portfolio and a Minister of Parliament. Another main objective of the event was to sensitize the children about the tobacco epidemic and in order to sensitize them something extra was required and that demand was fulfilled by Mr Shatrughan Sinha.

3. Oath Taking ceremony by 5000 children
4. Entertainment program by school children on Tobacco.
5. Address by Mr Shatrughan Sinha on Tobacco Epidemic.
6. Poster Competition on Tobacco.
7. Presentation of Selected posters on Tobacco designed by children to Mr Sinha.
8. Exhibition of selected posters on tobacco.
9. Exhibition of Posters by MPVHA.
